Tyeisha Bright-Jones possesses over fifteen years of experience in working with minors and adults with emotional disorders, mental illnesses, autism and other developmental disabilities.Prior to Co-founding BSF, Bright-Jones worked as Vice President of Family and Individual Services where she oversaw Autism services programs, managed staff and ensured quality services. Bright-Jones led the efforts for Autism Services/Community Integration accreditation for Commission of Accredited Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Bright-Jones has also worked as a Senior Service Coordinator advocating and providing resource coordination to individuals with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. She is a current Board Member for St. Elizabeth School in Baltimore.Educated in Baltimore, MD, Bright-Jones earned both her Graduate and Undergraduate degrees from Coppin State University. She holds a BS in Applied Psychology and Master’s of Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Bright-Jones is also a Licensed Certified Professional Counselor and provides clinical consultation to foster care agencies, licensed clinicians and healthcare professionals in the areas of behavioral intervention and Autism.
IMG_5725 Monica Strong, MSW - Co-Founder/Co-Executive Director
Monica Strong has over ten years of experience working with at risk youth and children and adults with mental illnesses. Prior to Co-founding BSF, Strong worked as a Multi-systemic Therapist in Baltimore City and Harford County; there she worked with both the individual and their families to prevent out of home placements for juveniles at risk of being incarcerated. Strong also worked as a Program Director for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs in Maryland where she ensured and monitored compliance with all Code of Maryland Regulations and managed both professional and paraprofessional staff. In addition, Strong worked as a Family Treatment Worker for a local foster care agency. Strong has served on various committees to ensure quality of service provision to at risk youth with emotional disorders and special needs.Educated locally, Strong received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Coppin State University. She continued her education at the University of Maryland where she received her Master of Social Work degree.
